Introduced in April 1980, the Sony KV-4000 used the smallest Trinitron colour CRT ever made, 3.7 inches, and was the smallest portable colour TV in the world. Before HD, it was Sony’s highest-quality small-screen colour TV, with the finest dot pitch ever produced.
It has a beautiful champagne-gold brushed aluminium case, a bevelled glass screen, automatic search tuning, a one-button band selector and an illuminated channel scale. It is an NTSC set, so it needs an NTSC signal for a proper colour image.
