The Aiwa AP-D50E (1979) is a front-loading, fully automatic, direct-drive turntable. Instead of lifting a lid, you press Eject and the whole platter slides out from the front like a drawer, so it fits in a hi-fi stack under other components.
It is fully automatic: Load / Play / Cut lowers and lifts the tonearm, Repeat plays the side again, and a record size selector sets where the arm drops. The direct-drive motor turns the platter without a belt, for steady speed. The E in the name marks the European version.
