The Apple II Plus (written Apple ][+) followed the original Apple II in 1979. It came with 48 KB of RAM, expandable to 64 KB, and Applesoft BASIC built into ROM, which made it the standard Apple II for schools and homes until the Apple //e arrived in 1983.
